The Rev. Terrance Lively, Assistant to the Priest-in-Charge
Terrance is originally from just outside of Charleston, West Virginia and grew up as an only child in the southern coal fields surrounded by family. He left home and went to college at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa but left early to help take care of his aging father with his mother. He finished his Bachelor of Science in Interior Design with the Art Institute of Pittsburgh while working full-time for the State of West Virginia in emergency preparedness, response, and management. After graduating he moved to Hurricane, West Virginia and worked as an interior designer for a small firm. Throughout all of this, Terrance has been discerning and working towards his understanding of a calling in ministry. He attended the Iona Program through the Seminary of the Southwest in this discernment and realized that seminary was where he was being called. At the same time, he took a vacation to the Eastern Shore of Maryland and absolutely fell in love with the people, the water and nature, and the pace of life and decided it was time to move. Terrance is finishing seminary at United Lutheran Seminary in Gettysburg and is pleased to serve in full-time parish ministry. Terrance lives at home with his two tabby cats, Hildegard and Ansgar.
