Christ Church offers a variety of concerts as gifts to the community.  In the past we have hosted the Westminster Ringers, Rejuvenate (the Praise Band from Arnolia UMC) and a piano and organ duo.

A Broadway Cabaret

Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 7 p.m.   

Join Emily and Gary Van Essen for a Broadway Cabaret featuring the classic Broadway standards, performed in a casual, fun atmosphere.  Get ready to hear your favorites like “You’ll Never Walk Alone” and “Someone to Watch Over Me.”  This concert will take place in Shand Hall.  Beverages and snacks will be available for purchase.  Donations will be accepted to benefit a local charity.  (Note: If COVID restrictions prevent this concert from taking place in October, it will be rescheduled for 2/12/22.)
 
 


The Westminster Ringers

Returning to Christ Church to usher in the Christmas season is the Westminster Ringers.  The Westminster Ringers is an auditioned community handbell ensemble from Westminster, MD.  Together, they play more than 200 instruments in a sonic and visual tour de force!  A tradition at Christ Church since 2016, the Westminster Ringers concert is a church and community favorite for all ages.  Mark your calendar now and invite your friends and family to this special event.

Tyler Canonico, Organist

Friday, March 25, 2022 at 7 p.m. 

Come hear “one of the east coast’s finest young concert organists and inspiring church musicians,” Tyler Canonico at Christ Church Parish, Kent Island.  Mr. Canonico holds a Masters of Music in Organ from University of Alabama and is currently Minister of Music and Organist at the Market Square Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  He has won numerous awards including first place in the AGO/Quimby Region III Competition for Young Organists.  Come join Tyler for a fun and diverse program including spirituals arranged for organ, hymn tunes, and organ classics.  Visit www.tylercanonico.com for more information.
